im guessing that an 18 is like the same as an R? because it shows people getting there thraots slit and then being made into pies and put in a meat grinder. duh
EDIT: punk princess has obviously never seen the movie. its not just a few splashes of blood on the ground. its shooting geysers out of peoples necks and it actually show the peoples throats getting slit

I know I really wanna go see it so I'm gonna try my best to get in xD It's a Musical surly he is too busy singing to me killing people... LOL yeh but it looks amazing, mabey the killing scenes are really gorey or something because It's a Tim Burton Film - ya kinda expect it xD
I'm over the age so I don't have to worry about that.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but is there something about "strong bloody violence" that you don't understand? It's simple really.
i know..i was trying to figure out why cus i went to see a 12A the other day, and it always says the following previews are simliar to the certificate of the feature presentation, and it was advertised. but an 18 is nothing like a 12A. and also it doesnt look that gory. im just going to hope il get it for an 18 :p
Well, the plot is as follows:
Sweeney Todd, The "Demon Barber of Fleet Street" cuts people's throats, and his accomplice makes his victims into meat pies. So, not the most child-friendly of films, to be honest.

That's just stupid! Why are they using that meter for? The kids under 18 will rent the movie on DVD later anyway! Well, Sweeney Todd has a scene or two, where Johnny Depp cuts with his blade the throats of some people and a few splashes of blood are being shown! But, come on!!! 18 years old for that? Why see worst in video games every day!!! (i'm 17!)
Because he cut peoples throtes with a cut throte razzor! well thats not something a small child would want to see!
Bloody vengency story/ available on dvd many forms!
Because its got lots of people getting murdered and because its based on real life.
And because its a good movie.
Also it'll probably scare people from going to the barber.
I'm not sure but his pies are delicious.
you know it HAS 'strong bloody violence' but WHY an 18? Simply, it is because young children do not need to see peoples throats being cut nor a lunatic with a straight razor screaming about town seeking revenge. I am sure that has something to so with it. :)
