Question: For me it would have to be Tony Scott(Top Gun, The Fan, Spy Games, Man on Fire, Domino, Deja Vu) my close 2nd M. Night Shyamalan( Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs, Lady in the Water) and 3rd Ridley Scott( Alien, Blade Runner, GI Jane, Gladiator, Matchstick Men, American Gangster) What about you who's your top 3, dead or alive?

I'm partial to Kubrick. The Shining, A Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket are all excellent movies. I like the first guy's answer as well, Coppola is right up there among my favorites. Nowadays it's becoming harder for me to pick, as I think movies have kind of been going down the tubes lately (however there have been a few outstanding movies in recent years).

coppola... hes making a comeback after over 10 years using money from his own hugely successful vineyards so he has more control.

it would have to be Savage Steve Holland. Better off dead was awesome, followed by Bob Clarkes Porkys movies.
