It's really an amazing movie!!! Tim Burton created another dark/gothic/romantic mastepiece and Johnny Depp was just perfect as always and he can really sing!!! I really liked that movie and i'm so happy that Johnny Depp won a Golden Globe and the movie, as well!!! In one word: MAGIC!!!

I saw Sweeny Todd a few weeks ago. I saw the play over a year ago, but never forgot it. I've never been into musicals but the play really held my attention. I loved it so much that when I heared about the movie I jumped and went to see it. It is a dark film. The main charector is really grim and dark, but you can relate to his situation. I thought Tim Burton did a wonderful job turning the play into a movie. The songs were pretty cool, and while this may sound strange, there was something really funny about the way he killed people. You'll know what I mean if you think about it. Can't wait to get the DVD.
umm, i didn't know it was a musical, and i hate musicals, but the story was really good. i would've liked less singing but i laughed on the inside when depp sang.
Yep, I've seen it. Johnny Depp COMPLETELY deserved that Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy. Sweeney Todd also deserved the GG it received. I think Tim Burton was robbed. He deserved to win; his direction was phenomenal and the film was basically one of his best.
I hope the Oscars are won by the dozen!
