I love Driving Lessons. It's this indie movie from England with Rupert Grint. My friends have never heard of this movie.

have you seen shane meadows films, he's a british director and makes film about real life no effects just reallity..how it is. and i can be both pretty grim and hillariously funny. i've only seen 3 of his films. dead mans shoes, made in england and 24/7. i would highly reccommend watching all these, i dont know how he's recieved in america. but i think he's got a lot to offer

Gotta say Donnie Darko (2001). It has become more mainstream in recent years, however when I stumbled upon it I had never heard of it. It is just a crazy concept, but really interesting. I've watched it over and over and pick up new things each time. The demonic bunny is what sold it for me when I read the back of the box at the video store. That and Patrick Swayze playing a televangelist/motivational speaker freak with a bad secret. If you have yet to see it, I highly recommend it. Jake G. is more of a household name now, but this film is what brought him on the scene.
Masquerade w/ Rob Lowe... very well done but Lowe complained about the marketing and handling of it to theatres, so its not well known... you get quality but most haven't heard od it. Can't tell you plot, would give it away but it has interesting twists and beautiful scenery.
