Question: All I know about the film, is that three young men inadvertantly shoot and kill another young man, and at the funeral, the mother of the slain boy, curses each of the young men responsible for her son's death, to die one by one, successively, in a week, two weeks and three weeks....

...why, yes!!! I have heard of the movie, which you are referring to!!! The synopsis you describe is but just one of three supposedly true stories, in an obscure little horror anthology, from 1973, and entitled "Encounters with the Unknown"....
...I usually play this one, as a double feature, alongside another rare and sbscure horror anthology, with stories based on urban legends, and called "Screams of a Winter's Night", from 1979...
