Love it--I work at a theatre where it originally played on its initial release and found myself watching it over and over again--especially the ending. By the way, there was a recent story about a young guy who is becoming a ballet dancer because of his love of the film--it inspired him! And, last, I happened to send this film to a friend for her birthday just last month, and she loved it, too!

I think it is wonderful - I have seen the show in London and that is just as good as the film (Always cry at the end)
Liked it, but it would have been better had the film ended when he was waiting for the results of his application to the ballet school.
a real 'tear jerker' it shows how a working class family can do the extraordinary, when the odds are against them.

Brilliant film and the best soundtrack ever. Cosmic dancer was over twenty years old but sounds as if it was written for the film. Beatiful music.

My friend and I used to watch it all the time.We loved it.It was so original and funny but a little sad too.We really liked the gay friend (forgot his name) but I think they kept calling him a fluffer or something like that.It's been a while since I've seen it.
All in all,great movie.
