Did anyone else besides me think Cloverfield sucked?!

Question: Okay, first off, I think I made it through 45 minutes of this HORRIBLY produced film. So I'm sitting there about to have a seizure when I decide to walk out and exchange my ticket for Alvin and the Chipmunks. It's commonly compared to the Blair Witch Project (actually never saw it). The group that went and saw the movie before the 8:00 showing came out all dissapointed saying the movie sucked. I just don't see how someone could watch a 2 hour shaky movie about an alien?

I saw this movie from the very front row, very last seat on the right. My neck and eyes still hurt. Movies that shaky are not meant to be watched that close.

It was so painfully shaky. I can understand when they were running from the monster thing, but in the beginning, where they were presumably just standing still and filming, the camera was so shaky I thought that they were having a seizure.

The camcorder effect didn't add to the realism anyways.. Who would realistically keep the camera with them? It should have been dropped or lost right in the beginning ahaha.

i never saw it, but it looks like it sucks! i'll make sure i dont go see that...

something is wrong with you...that movie was one of the best movies to be made...so unique, funny, romantic, serious, just amazing, AND FANTASTIC ending....your messed up

no. What did you expect? You knew ahead of time that this movie was shot from the perspective of a single-camcorder. Camcorders shake when people run, this adds to the realism of the story. I thought the movie was intense and seemed so real.

Aw, wahh it wasn't a happy ending. Since when does that affect whether or not it was a good movie?!

I loved the handheld camera POV- it was exciting and realistic and really put you in the middle of the crisis with the people who were going through it.

---I saw I Am Legend too, but this was so much more exciting! And a much better movie.

I was very disappointed... but later found out its made by the same guy who does the tv series lost... so yeah, if i'd known that i would never had bothered

Well I just saw the movie and yea it kinda felt like a knock off of godzilla and the movie was very poorly ,ade. I was about to throw up halfway into the film. It was an ok story if it would have been made like actual movies are made.
i hated the fact that it made me really sick though, i dont think i'll ever see it again!

I was excited to see the movie today. I bought my tickets early and got to the theater an hour before the start of the movie to make sure i got good seats only to walk out 25 minutes into it. The shakiness of the film made me very sick to my stomach. I was nauseous and felt like i was going to pass out. Thankfully the movie theater issued me a refund. I was disappointed.

one word...GARBAGE!!!!!!

I have waited 9 months to see this film. I wish I never saw it... it was a bigger let down then finding out Santa Claus wasn't real.

I am not crazy, I like most of JJ Abrams work, I like Blair Witch hated Godzilla ... this movie was a complete joke.

LAME!
