50/50 chance on the monster. since it wasn't central to the movie, you may only get that "it came from outer space". i feel the director will drone on and on about the movie making process.
I hope not. Whats good about it is that it leaves questions. And as for why New York? lol. New York always gets attacked. everybody knows that. cmon. It's recognisable, all its buildings are recognisable, and I hate to say it, but since 9/11 you can set any fictional catastrophe there and its somehow believable.
