Have you dined or went to the movies alone?!
Question: I prefer going to movies by myself and nearly always did when I was able to go to theaters.
I also have dined by myself with no problems. Often, I took a book with me if I knew I could take my time. I'm not sure why people act as if this is difficult to do.
I value going solo and absolutely never ran in a gang in school. I would have gone crazy surrounded by a bunch of people. Some of us prefer solitude. Later, I found that a lot of classmates admired me because I didn't seem to pursue being popular and obviously looked content when I was alone. I read, wrote, sketched and/or listened to music. I also played many chess matches against myself.

Yes. I've done both alone. I've eaten lunch by myself at a restaurant during work lunch hour and I've seen several movies by myself. My 2 girl friends that I hung out with both moved out of state and my co-workers at a new job didn't have the same interests as me. I had broken up with my boyfriend too & I just HAD to get out & see movies sometimes. I felt really good about myself that I could go alone & enjoy it but it IS more fun to go out with a friend. Sometimes in life ya just don't have someone to hang with. It's alright...it'll pass & I'll meet more people.
Sure - I am single and a lot of my friends have boyfriends so I go to the movies a lot by myself. Going to eat alone is sometimes a little hard because you have nothing to pass the time between ordering and eating but people watching can be fun. I am going to Sydney by myself for two weeks so I better be used to going out alone otherwise I am screwed!! :)

I've gone to movies by myself dozens of times. Actually, it's not so bad. You can't really talk to each other during the movie, and you don't have to share your popcorn! Dining, though, only if it's someplace not so special.
Yes, once I had soup at a diner. And it was nice, quiet. I noticed a few other people there alone so I after awhile I forgot about being alone and actually started to enjoy my own company. I've seen a movie alone and it was fun. The movie theater is dark, so I didn't feel self-conscious about being alone. I just relaxed, enjoyed the movie and the popcorn.
Yes, I have. It's no fun! Go with someone to make the evening go by faster and to have more fun!
Sure, why not? Often the restaurants I like are not liked by my partner. Same thing with some of my choices in movies.
but i now what your getting at, is it taboo, yes people think its weird to see someone walk around the mall by themselves, and movie worst and dinner, people think your going to kill yourself some day, but i wouldn't worry about it, do as your please, you question. NO
Of course! But I found out that it is a bad idea to go to a scary movie alone...starting in the parking lot and all the way home, you are regretting it. Then you lock all the doors and leave the lights on!
