Most porn is centered on a woman being tricked or manipluated into sex. That is how it is degrading to women; it assumes women are stupid or they have a low sex drive and must be virtually raped. Women have the same sex drive men have. Many women simply do not want to see a bunch of drugged up HIV + losers having sex....and many men feel the same way.
I always just though it was because men have a bigger sex drive (meaning they're more horny). I honesty don't think there is anything wrong with men watching porn, I would rather my man do that then cheat on me. I think that it can become an addiction though and then something needs to be done, but other than that I really don't see anything wrong with it.
Sometimes it's hard to find porn with a man in it. If there is any, I'm happy to watch it. But I know women who feel betrayed when their husbands/boyfriends watch porn, feeling insecure and betrayed. Now that I can't explain.
i don't think it would make that much difference: men are more visually excitable (men get turned on by what they see)
women are more physically excitable (women get turned on by physical touch)
that's why women dont' like porn as much as men do
Amelia: i can explain it -- i'm a big fat grotesque pig that i can't stand to see in the mirror, much less think that my husband could stand to look at or have to touch. and because of society & fashion's emphasis on the size 2's as being the standard to aspire to, a LOT of women feel that way.

you know what the porn argument has me at a stump. is it a way that women have control over a man or is it just a bad image on women? i'm not sure.... (sigh)
