Will the picket lines be crossed at the Oscars?!

Question: I think its been a very bad year for movies anyway. Will the actors refuse to cross the lines as they did at the Golden Globes?
Good for them but will those goody bags ($30,000 worth) tempt them to betray their good conscience? a ha

From what I've been reading the answer is NO. The actors will be treating the Oscars the same way as the Golden Globes. I think once the big name (and super rich) celebrities boycott something, the lower celebrities follow so they won't look bad. Basically, if George Clooney and Brad Pitt are boycotting the Oscars, Jude Law and Casey Affleck better not show up. The big names have more respect and are looked at more opinions than the less respected. Also, the big names would be forgiven faster than the B-list, who could maybe use the goodie bags cause they can't afford everything in it.

Another thing is the Jon Stewart is suppose to be hosting the Oscars this year and has let it be known that he would not cross the picket line to host the event.

Oscars can be delivered without being in attendance live and in person.

It is fair that the actors are overpaid, at writers' expense, since the stalkers are after faces not brains.

Writers are chasing away business, by harming those TV networks that employ them. There are a hundred channels, and maybe we are full up on cloned TV scripts!

Reality TV may take over when writers have killed their golden goose.

Sports, for example, entertain me even better, without a fictional script needing to be written.
