What makes you want to go out and see a movie? Can you give some examples? Does !

Question: I normally like to check the critics' reviews (I'm hoping to become a critic myself) just to make sure I'm not wasting six bucks on a ninety-minute piece of junk. Last year, I made that mistake a few times, but on one occasion, I was able to turn that bad experience into a scathing review for my school newspaper (The movie was Fred Claus, by the way). Man, I loved writing that review more than the movie itself!

Some names that usually hook me in: Will Ferrell, Tim Burton, Steve Carell, any member of the Frat Pack (Vince Vaughn, Wilson brothers, Ben Stiller, etc.), and Pixar, just to name a few.

I go to see movies that spark my interest. If you interesting in seeing a love movie you probably want to see a romance movie. I like Sci-Fi explosion armagedon type movies. Thats why Cloverfield sparked my interest.

It does help to see actors you recognise but I mainly go because of Comedy or Action, or even Horror in the film. I like a movie with a good story line with funny jokes in it. And even a great twist to the end, Like Lets go to Prison starring Dax Shepherd. That was a good film because of the plot of him wanting to give Nelson a horrible time in Prison because his dad sent him to jail, but it ending up turning him into the fearless leader of the White Kingdom. Ha ha.

It has to be a really good looking movie. The actors don't matter as long as it is a strong actor/actress.
With ticket prices these days and all the BS to deal with at the theaters, the movie has to be really good to get me to go.

Last time I went I bought the tickets online. Got to the theater and had to stand in a big heard by the front door cause they wouldn't let anyone inside even though everyon already had tickets. Then everyone had to stand in line while they cleaned out the theater. They didn't start letting people in till 10 minutes before it started and the line was an entire theater full of people, down a hallway and into the lobby. It was sold out. Going to the movie with a family of four will cost around $50. It's too much. Last movie I saw was August Rush, before that I don't even remember. I just watch them online for free now.
