It was similar to the Blair Witch Project to the point where it was a hand-held camera. Other than that, there wasn't a similarity.
In the Blair Witch, it was students who were doing a documentary about something. . . But the guy in Cloverfield had been at a party and this guy's brother's girlfriend wanted the whole party documented. The monster attacked, and the guy with the camera kept it so people would know what would happen. He thought people should know what happened that night.
The only similarity it had to the Blair Witch project was the filmmaking style. In that, the film was supposed to have been shot by film students with handheld cameras. This was supposed to have been shot by a guy with a camcorder. I liked it, but a lot of people didn't.

its professional, even though the camera is suppose to be a hand held it looks like a very good quality one.
go see it. i don't think it own up to all the hype but its good enough to see in theaters.

fuk it was horiable the whole time the guy was hold the camera it was shakeee and wobilly and i couldnt see anything it ended horiablly on the movie i give it a 7.8 on the idea of filiming it like that i give it a 0000.0000
