Similar film to I am legend / Omega Man - Whats it Name??!
Question: Hi, I saw a film years ago probably similar time as Omega Man was made. All I can remember in the film is that a man was either sent back in time or was sent to the surface after some sort of biohazzard or disaster had taken place. I remember he was in I think either a white or orange suit. I think they didn't think the air was breathable, although I think he ends up taking of the head mask part of the suit. I think he was also on a time limit for how long he could stay. I also remember a Lion on the side of or on top of a building roaring. It was set in a main city like New York and it was deserted except for him no other humans that I can remember. I can't remember if there were any zombies or baddies of any kind (not to say there wasn't). I also have a memory at the end of the film of him walking alone down a street or lane with lots of colour or a rainbow, something like that. I thought it was the omega man, but I watched it recently to find out that was not the movie. HELP

For some reason, I didn't care for it the first time I watched it. Several years passed before I decided to try it again. Due to heavy play on a couple of movie channels, I ended up tuning in more times than I expected as I became caught up in the story~at least 10 times in the last month or so! I experienced this with "Phantoms", too. I didn't care for it at first but have grown to find it an interesting and worthwhile film. Maybe people should get in the habit of giving movies a second or even third chance.
By the way, you gave an excellent description! I'll bet you receive a dozen or more answers that will verify the film, which was adapted from a short film titled "La Jetee" from France.

I believe you are thinking of 12 monkeys, starring Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt. It didn't come out at the same time as The Omega Man, it came out in the 90's but from your description, that's the movie.
