Who doesn't? Since the good guys nearly always win in stories, the bad guys are the underdogs in a metafictional way.
yea it does happen a lot. especially if the main character in the movie is the bad guy.

It's like 50 once said in one of his tracks, "I watch gangsta flicks and root for the bad guy, but turn it off before the end, because the bad guy dies"
Yeah whenever I watch the Ocean's trilogy I keep thinking Ocean and his crew are the good guys but they're not.
