"The Fountain" is one of the greatest movies ever made, in my opinion. It's not false advertising, if you saw the commercials, it portrayed a timetravel-esque movie. True, it wasn't that either, it was much much more complex. It's not supposed to be a simple movie, Darren does not do simplicity. If you have seen "Requiem For A Dream", you know what I'm talking about. Also "Pi" is another one of his groundbreaking and brilliant films. "The Fountain" It's a movie about obsession, love, and human acceptance of death.

If you think it's a "medieval" movie, a movie about a guy turning into flowers, a movie about a monk, or if you simply just do not understand it, try sitting through the movie one more time. Maybe two. You obviously missed the entire point of the movie.

Every. Single. Part. Of. This. Movie. Is. There. For. A. Reason. You can't take out a part of this movie and "do without" it. The past, present, and the future references in this film all portray a part of human reality, of human nature, and how to learn to let go.

If you still don't like it, stick to "Napoleon Dynamite".

it was horrible, but it was also pretty, and made no sense

I could not agree more, with everything you have said!

Lousy plot, lousy message, laughable marketability... Haunting score, beautiful visuals, wonderful acting, excellent direction, and a long lasting feeling of intense longing for... something...
Strange, not good, yet haunting film in my opinion.

I liked the part where he ( Hugh Jackman ) was in South America, but the other two or three i could do without...all in all it was ok

you sound like a 9 year old and an ignorant human being. stick to movies like bring it on where you wont be so confused and disapointed.
