I am legend (Spoilers)?!

Question: If you haven't seen the movie, don't read this.

I think it's a very good movie. It could've been great, though.
I was expecting to see how the virus started spreading, instead just moving 3 years ahead, and see what everyone knows before walking into the movie theater. The first hour of the movie is amazing, absolutely well done. The flashbacks let you know what happened in between, but I was left with the feeling that a good chunk of the story was missing, not to mention the horrible ending. Still worth watching. What are your thought about this movie?

Does anyone else think that Will Smith could have thrown the grenade through that stupid hole, and at least dived for cover?! Maybe he could have survived-that was Plexi glass, it could have happened...I really liked the movie, in spite of the ending, I agree with you though. It left alot to be desired. I really wish they had put a little more time in for the present, and saved all those quiet boring scenes for a 30 minute intervel in the middle. It also didn't even give a for sure answer on "the cure". That vampire chick wasn't completly better, maybe that blood sample was infested with a new virus, one that allowed them to survive UV rays this time. Too many loose ends...plus WHY did the dog have to die?? She was his only friend, he was kinda gotta a little whacked at the end like Tom Hanks in Cast Away( Wilson!! Nooo....)

i loved the movie it was great but some sad parts where will smith died at the end and when the dog died.

Why does it allways have to have a hollywood perfect story ending. He did what he had to do because he wanted to be with his family. He "didnt let this happen" He found a cure and "He Fixed it" The fact that it jumped ahead was a good thing. It made the flash backs all the more incredable. I thought it was an awesome movie begining to end. What more do you need to know about how it spread? They tried to cure cancer by putting another disease into peoples bodies to counter it. It went wrong. It took to the air and bam world wide spread. Thats all i need to know. :)

It had a great story and everything, but I was severely disappointed with the ending. It could have been so much better but overall it was a good movie. I love Will Smith his movies are great!

Check out the next movie he is making it's called Hancock

i liked it, it was good. it was sad with his family, and his dog cuz hats all he had left! and then the end u werent really expecting her to know there was a camp! it was kinda creepy seeing ny like that cuz it such a busy place. i live in south jerzee so i go there all the time and to see it like that is amazing! i would have liked to know how it all started it doesnt explain that... they just see people starting having it and everyone freaking out and trying to get away!

I hated the movie. Will Smith did an amazing job, but he couldn't save it. The CG was unneccessary, every detail from the book was changed for no reason, they added Christian undertones that ruined everything for me, and the ending was crap.

I disagree that there should have been more detail about how the virus spread b/c the point of the story was being alone and surviving and what this would do to a person.

The book was so much better. Look it up. It's called "I Am Legend" and it's written by Richard Matheson.

Maybe I would have liked the movie if it didn't have the same title as the book, but if they are going to blatantly claim the movie is based on the book, they should stick to the original story (with maybe a few minor changes) instead of changing almost everything about it. The only thing that was the same was Neville's name, and there was a dog involved in both.

They should have named it something different. I had the same problem with I,Robot. It probably would have been a good movie if they weren't connecting it the original written version.

i agree, the first hour was awesome.

not all movies have to have a happy ending, though. the movie ended with smith dying because the book ended that way too- though done in a different way.
