Does anyone know if there will be a sequel to "The Golden Compass" mov!

But if the sequel is as horrible as the first movie, don't even bother..
They left the plot open for a sequel , which looks promising ... however there hasnt been any announcement as of yet...am sure u will see the announcement sometime within next 3 months.
there will be for sure, when is the question. Also, there has been a lot of discussion about books 2 and 3 being combined. This would make sense if Walden Media wants to keep the religious themes out of the theatres. Unfortunetely it also cuts out the heart of the story.
In any case, I can't wait to see who they'll cast as Will.
