George Romeros "The Night of the Living Dead," 1968. To this day I don't like going outside untill all of the lights are on and my Dogs have gone outside first. I figure if they see/hear something like walking dead people I can get away hoping they will be smart enough to follow. The dogs not the walking dead. I'm just slightly paranoid about it I guess but it really freaked me out. My brothers would always play stupid a** games with me by sending me to get snacks and then turning off the lights while I'm trying to find out where they went. I would spill milk and cookies all over the place as I ran crying and screaming from room to room. I hated them for that - the stupid Pr*cks! When I was a kid I thought the Blob was pretty scary but as I got older I felt pretty stupid about it. "Dawn of the Dead" wasn't as good but I liked it cause I have a thing about dead people coming back to eat me. Go figure.

Hostel
The Descent
Cabin Fever
Stephen King's Rose Red
The Mist
The Shining
Halloween (the original)

alot of the newer ones are pretty lame so go old school but the new halloween was pretty good!

To this day, my favorite horror movie is Halloween (the original one, not the crappy new one or the sequels). There is nothing scarier to me than things that can actually happen., A kid can kill his sister, go to an institution, break out decades later, and stalk a person he sees on the street. The sister thing with Jamie Lee Curtis wasn't the original plot, and Michael Myers doesn't actually get any life threatening injuries int he first one, so it is all very Real to me. Now that is scary. The most recent movie that i love is "The Hitchhiker" because it to is very real and can happen (not the Hitcher). I love both of those films.

Evil Dead 1 - demons look really scary....("*we're going to get you!")
Seven - Brad Pitt (bloody)
The Decent - cave things freaky, made my wife watch it in the dark late at night and didnt sleep at all .

Enjoy
