It's about a guy who goes deep into the heart of NYC to rescue of of his friends despite the fact that there is a monster attacking NYC. It's shot from the point of view of a normal average New Yorker, so it's from a hand-held camera. Many people who are easily nauseous are warned to either not go see this movie, or be prepared because of the shakiness of the camera. It's a different movie experience.
Honestly, don't listen to those that tell you not to go see it, that it's dissapointing, or that it's a terrible movie. Cloverfield has become a box office hit, most critics love it, IMDB users rate it a 8/10 and critics on rottentomatoes.com gave it a 76/100%. If you want to go see it, go see it and decide for yourself if you like it.
Don't see it, its disappointing.
Its about this guy thats going away to Japan, his brother throws this surprise party for him, then in the middle of that this big giant Frog like thing with a tail terrorizes the city and eats all of there friends, and gives birth to baby spiders. I loved the way they did the movie and how they got me really dizzy, making my stomach feel weird, but the ending was disappointing .
A monster attack in nyc recorded by some survivors,a group of friends was throwing another friend a going away party, and they was recording it ,well when they was outside on top of roof a big epxlosion happen upon the city. Some say its god zilla or slusho and stuff but its not, jj abrams said he wanted something different.
people say its shaky but cmon its handheld camera, and your trying to survive, how will you keep a camera steady and run for your life at the same time.

It was good. Very fast so you have to pay attention.
Its about a guy that is about to go to Japan for a job. And the night of his going away party NYC gets attacked by a man eating monster. Its all shot by a the best friend of the guy that was leaving. Good comedy relief. But Rob (one of the main chacters) wants to go back into the city to save his love. It sounds cheesy but yeah it was good. Very fast!!!!! Lots of action.
The film follows five young New Yorkers who throw their friend a going-away party the night a gigantic monster attacks the city.
