have not seen this movie it is on my to see list........heard it was great.
This was one of my favorite movies....The Book was not as good
For Robert Downey, Jr., this was one of those performances that defines an actor's career. Unfortunately, it aslo turned out to be an ominous foreshadowing of things to come in his personal life as well. The movie itself is an apt representation of the excesses and blasé attitudes of the youth of the 80s. All show, no substance -- not the movie, but the characters. As I'm typing this I see there are parallels between these characters and the lifestyles of many of today's young celebrities. I'm rambling. Yes. See the movie. Even if not for anything else than the soundtrack, which was pretty great if I remember correctly.
