I don't know how you can actually decide which is better! I loved both, but, if i had to put them in order, I could. In order from most favorite to least:
1. Shrek 2 - I can't really explain WHY I liked this one more than the first one, but I think it was because you already know the characters. Knowing their Character traits always help in the end.
2. Finding Nemo - It's funny for EVERYONE, kids and adults alike. Ellen did a magnificent job and it made the movie what it was... hilarious.
3. Shrek - This was a good twist on the typical fairy tale stories and included some awesome classic stuff too... It was an amazing idea, but, to be honest I didn't even like this one until AFTER I watched the 2nd.
4. Shrek the third - I hated this one. You know the old saying, "you need to know when to stop"? Well, I don't think dreamworks does. I felt like they could have had a better story if they would have had a different villain. He's the same villain as the second one. Technically it WAS his mom, but basically the same. I did like the idea of having Arthur in it; they just needed to have a better story.
Shrek, all the singing at the end, more watchable.

i prefer shrek because its more entertaining for everyone and its funny. however finding nemo is a classic i lvoe this film but its so sad. *sobs*
Shrek. Dorie annoys me a bit in Finding Nemo although the Turtles pretty much make up for that.
I think Donkey steals the show in all the Shrek films (especially in Shrek 2 when they are sitting round the table all shouting at each other so he shouts "Donkey!").
Shrek and I have no idea why. It just appealed to me more so than Finding Nemo which I really didn't care for all that much.

While Nemo is good, I have this thing for snotty irritating funny characters, like donkey.
Finding Nemo! Shrek is starting to get really repititious. I mean how many movies can they come out with? Okay we get it Shrek is unhappy with marrying a princess and Donkey can be annoying. I like Shrek but at least finding Nemo didn't overdo it.
shrek- better humour, better script, love parodies and the voices match better
Shrek till death, nice songs ,story,charachtors and all.. and it is very interesting than nemo. the donkey makes the story funny

I <3 them both, but I prefer Shrek because a LOT of the writing in that movie was geared toward adults and a more grown-up sense of humor, but kids still love it without having to understand some of the more mature content.
