I think u just found a goof! A good one really, I never tought of it. She couldn't know that, as long as the first time it happened she was at the window upstairs, and the second time was ( I think ) when they met after 3 years. Anyway, I really loved that movie!!!!
Briony thought that Robbie had raped that little girl Lola, yet told the police that she was certain it was him and she saw him do it. He got arrested and had a choice whether to join the army or go to prison. Cecilia told him to come back to her and not die lol. Briony didn't make it up, in the emd, when they both died, she said they'd be together, and nothing could part them then.
