I still wonder about Mira Sorvino and Marisa Tomei. There is an urban legend that Tomei was not the winner, but the presenter made a mistake in the name and they didn't want to acknowledge a mistake was made, so they gave it to her.
But both were pretty shallow roles. And Alan Arkin winning for Litte Miss Sunshine, I really like him, but really, he was on the screen for 5 minutes.
As for the lead actor award, Al Pacino, for Scent of a Woman.
