Recommend any movies that scare the crap out of you?!

Question: I've never really found a movie that has scared me. Some have come close and here they are:

-Jurassic Park scared me when I first saw it at 6 years old.
-That one scene in Signs where the alien walks past the camera at the kid's birthday party made me gasp and jump in the theater.
-Night of the Living Dead still gives me nightmares to this day, even as an adult.

That's it. No other movie has given me nightmares or scared me one bit. Don't recommend an popular modern horror movies, I just laugh at them. The indie ones are the best, IMO.

"The Descent" (2005) there was one scene when the camera was panning around and you finally see the creature and i literally cried out in the theaters (really embarrassing). "30 Days of Night" (2007) was reall creepy and a great modern day vampire movie. "Ghosts of Mars" (2001) also works for me. "Thir13teen Ghosts" (2001) really scared the crap out of me in the theaters. That's about all I could think of, hope something grabs you from this list.

Saw
Gothika
The others
Mimic

donnie darko is pretty cool
the only horror movies that are actually scary are like if theyre about serial killers, cause thats realistic
if its about like a monster or somethin
its just like duh

i know donnie darko isnt scary, thats why i said its cool

how bout "it"

The only true scary movie...The Exorcist.

Edit: Who gave me a thumbs down? I dare anyone to watch it, alone, with the lights out, and go to bed right after watching it. You're not sleeping for awhile.

The Exorcist
The Omen (the original)
Jaws
Alien/s

I would say....

The Others
(I think Nicold Kidman was it it, but it never was popular)

Watch it twice. At the end of the first time, it's creepy. At the end of the second time, it's totally scary.

Dog Soldiers. Sitting on the couch in my living room--with the lights on-- I yelled a couple of times.

Phantasm--I guess i was about 13-14 when I first saw it and had to cover up the mirror on my dresser for a couple of weeks afterward.

Ju-On (the Grudge) was quite nasty/creepy, especially on a second viewing.

It's probably a case of age and timing. I saw "Poltergeist" when I was 14 or so, and it gave me nightmares for weeks. It still creeps me out.

"The Grudge" is another one that gave me a lingering case of the heebie jeebies.

GAHH that scene in Signs is the scariest thing!!! I screamed, lol.
Try 28 Days Later and the sequal, 28 Weeks Later. Theyre zombie movies, basically, but theyre really thought out and intelligent. Almost to the point where you worry it could happen, lol. I still get nightmares from that. Hostel is creepy and so is Saw, but those are all blood and gore, and it depends on the kind of person you are to like those movies. Also if you like indie, try the Blair Witch Project.

resident evil, vacnacy those shook me pretty gud

The Sixth Sense. No blood and gore, but the possibility that it could be real will creep up on you. You will watch it a second time to see what you missed and wonder if such a thing is really possible.
