And yes, especially in today's tecno-world, it bugs me
when they re-release a good (older) movie and lose the
original story, but pump it up with special effects.
Some "sequels" are good, not most, but some.
"Godfather 2" i.e. and some others.
It REALLY annoys me when it is not the original cast. It takes me a while to get over it when I start watching the movie. The problem with sequels is that for some movies they just get worse and worse. The only exception(s) for me is the Harry Potter series, the Tomb Raider movies and The Mummy movies. Haha!
Footloose was big when I was really really little. I've only seen it a couple times and dont really remember it. My boyfriend thinks it's great though. :P
Great movie... can't watch any more movies with Kevin Bacon without thinking "twinkle toes".
Footloose is worth watching at least once. It's a classic.
As for sequels, I absolutely HATE it when characters are re-cast. But what is that saying about the film exactly? Well there must have been a good reason for them to not want to reprise the role. Usually the case when the sequel is pathetic.
If they have the same cast though, I'd have to say I love a good sequel.
if your asking if the 1980's Kevin Bacon original is worth watching then Hell yes
