Looking for movie we only saw previews for, but cannot find what it was titled.?!

Question: There were several geeks going on a road trip to follow the Star Wars movie, or searching for something in relation to Star Wars memorabilia???? Looked like a dumb movie, but it's driving us nuts that we can't remember what it was.

Fanboys.

If it looked like a "dumb" movie why does it bother you ... maybe it didn't look so "dumb" after all. Maybe the Force does exist ...

Sorry, just had to mess with you a little bit. I have to admit that, as a Star Wars Geek, I have a huge aversion to Star Wars spoofs so when I first heard of this movie I hated it ... yeah, before I even knew what it was about and yes I know that's a pretty stupid thing to do but what can I say, I'm still wiping the egg off my face for jumping to conclusions. This movie is full of stuff that "normal" people will see and go "What the **** was that ..." while at the same time have us Star Wars Geeks rollin' on the floor but when you break it right down it's a very "human" story. If I was terminally ill and wasn't going to live long enough to see episode 1 I can see myself doing some of the same things ... well, not the truly "geeky" stuff but I would focus all my energy on seeing it before I died. A commando raid on Skywalker Ranch would be a pretty good way to do that. Of course writing Lucas a letter and telling him the circumstances would probably work too but what fun would that be ... lol ... anyways ...

May The Force Be With You ...

It's called Fanboys. They're searching for the last "pure" Star Wars conventions, before the release of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. They feel that the prequels will diminish the value of the orignial. From what I understand, they want to connect with other hardcore fans of the original trilogy who dislike the idea of the new trilogy.

Fanboys

'Fanboys's......This movie is about four friends from Ohio in 1998 [one of whom] is terminally ill with cancer and will die before 'Episode I — The Phantom Menace' finally comes out," actor Jay Baruchel said of the upcoming flick. "We decide we're going to take a road trip from Ohio to California to break into Skywalker Ranch and watch 'Episode I' before it hits the screens."
