Answers: 10 points for the most intresting answer.

The first person point of view has been done in the past but not like this. It was more of an experience that I was a part of rather than a movie I was just sitting there watching from afar. For the way the story was told the length was perfect. It wasn't some overblown, overhyped monster flick like Godzilla and King Kong was. They used no name actors and that helped me relate to them so much easier. I feel sorry for people who got sucked into the "hype" and were disappointed or say the movie was "STUPID!". You didn't enjoy the movie for what it was. The movie wasn't about the monster, it was about Hud, Marlena, Rob and Beth, how scared s**tless they were and how you could put yourself in their shoes because of the perspective. This isn't supposed to be some epic blockbuster with Puff Daddy and Jimmy Page butchering "Kashmir." Nor is it some bogus, "snot-dripping from my nose" fairy tale like Blair Witch. Folks who want their money back, grow up and enjoy a movie for what it is, not what you WANTED it to be.

it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO stupid!

what a waste of MONEY and TIME!! GARBAGE movie for garbage.

1) Not "new"
2)Yes
3)Headache

I am feeling dizzy after watching the credits, i think they were trying to give something away wit the credits style. Didn't know what i was in for, but it was magnificent!

I saw it yesturday with my friends.

I like the monster it's pretty cool but the film basically has no story line and no proper ending. It's also not very scary.

It was a good film though which I would reccomend you see if you haven't already.

I'm surpirsed all that bombing didn't kill the monster and the idea of doing it all through a video camera made it more realistic and unique.

haha i just asked virtually same question as ive just seen it too! thought it was good but the camera annoyed me as you coudnt see everything that was going on, the monter was ODD! quite original i suppose but didnt like the spidery thigs that came off it and when that girl exploded was pretty grose!! rather good i suppose overall but suppose its not going to be too everyones taste!

really good movie... very well done... only prob ---- disappointed with ending... love the way the monster is mainly left to your own imagination... thats genius of the director

I think it's a good action movie especially if you are a person that loves surround sound but other than that it wasn't good. It had no plot and I left the movie with alot of questions like where did the creature come from, why was it here, what was it, and the thing that really ticked me off was they went through all of the stuff to get to that girl and everybody still died.

As soon as i got out of the cinema, i had a headache from the shaking camera. I guess it was ok, i didnt hate it or love it.
It reminded me too much of blair witch project, bit at the end with the girl crying and snot down her nose and shaking camera/documentary-style, and godzilla, the obvious monster and sky scrapers. Some scenes were predictable too, like the monster reaching out for the helicopter, but it did keep me hooked to the end. I wouldnt pay to see it again though, i prefer happy movies lol!

yeah!! i thought it was excellent for low budget bloody excellent!!

me and my fiancee saw it Friday , we thought it was good , especially the beginning as you could see all the mayhem .... but not what was causing it , and it had some good jumpy bits .. and the bit after the helicopter crashed .. wen he got eaten and videoed it was good , when it finished i must admit i did say eh is that it !! but we did enjoy the film x

i loved it! it was the best movie of the year. i'm tired of people complaining about the ending. but i dont wana give it away so that's all i'm gonna say. i like the ending because it felt realistic. this was suppose to footage someone took so we are suppose to see everything. anyway, once again, loved it!

i thought it was really good, and it will be talked about for ages, cos it still is making people wonder about it.

i liked it although it wasn't what i was expecting

Saw it too on Friday.

Before i watched it had seen the trailers online ages ago and throught it looked great. Then i saw the reviews online slating it. The i read a review in the paper which praised it highly. Then i watched Jonathon Ross Film 2008 and he praised it highly too! As you can see i was pretty confused, so i decied to make up my own mind.

Whilst i was watching it i thought it was amazing, the visuals and the suspense seemed to impress when and where it mattered most. I was a bit confused though as to where the damn thing came from in the first place. Also, how could that video camera last that long? I want to get me some of those batteries!

I hated the way they killed some of those who you didn't want to see dead! I think it ended way too early and with a crap ending which totally let me and other down. I could hear sighs of disgust when the titles came as everyone was fed up with the ending.

I heard before hand that viewers in America had complained that the way it was filmed made them feel sick and so were asking for refunds. Some actually did puke up and some cinemas were warning viewers beforehand. I thought this was all rubbish, not at any point did i feel disorientated, i thought it added to the roughness and authentic manner in which it was portrayed.

Overrall though i thought it was ok, not as bad as some have described but it did totally let me down in the end. We all want to see a good solution at the end and want to know the legacy of what happened but we never got it and it did my head in! Not sure if i would watch it again, maybe once but no more!

My rating: 7.5/10

Easily best film of the year even though the year just started.

It did everything the blair witch did only 1,000 times better. Every scene you felt like you were there instead of just watching from angles that a director wants you to watch.
As for people saying it had no story, it obviously had the love story between the guy and girl which reconciled brilliantly the way the last few seconds of what hadn't gotten taped over was what they say as film is running out.
I was so excited every minute of this movie I can't imagine anyone not loving it. The helicopter crashing scene is the most amazing moment of a film I think I've ever experienced.

I hope hollywood gets the message to stop making overbudget crapfest movies and makes more intelligent thrillers like Cloverfield.
