Hey guys wat do u think of sweeney todd??im planning to watch it tonite?!

Question: Speaking as someone who has seen it four times, I would say go, but only if it's the kind of thing you already had the inclination to see.
If you're a Johnny Depp fan, go for the fan girl gasms at his fantastic emptiness, presence, and voice.
If you're a Helena Bonham Carter fan, go because she brings something to the character that can make you feel with the emotions she feels, and a comedic presence that's believeable.
If you're an Alan Rickman fan, go because it's the villain you've seen him place before, only with new quirks, and his singing voice that those who haven't seen Truly Madly and Help I'm a Fish have missed out on.
If you're a Burton fan, you need to go, as it is everything you would expect from Burton and more. If you're a musical fan, it isn't a show to be missed just because they turned a few numbers to script.
If you like the original show, go because it gives you a closeness to the characters you can't get from fifty feet away from the pit.
If you like old horror movies, go because Burton made this in a tribute fashion, the colors are washed and the blood has an incredibly fake look to it (which shouldn't be a spoiler if you've seen the ads.)
I'll stop listing reasons at this point and let you draw your own conclusions, but seeing it in a theater gives it the feeling you would get seeing the full length show. But if you aren't sure, or it's a money issue, you may be able to find a budget theater playing it in a few months.

i heard it was stupid and it really didn't have a point to it

It's alright, actually did not expect it to be a musical.

blood and creepy songs, enjoy

A little long. You'll like it if you're especially a Depp fan, or a Burton fan. It really has the air of oddity going on. Personally? I loved it. It was weird, bloody, musical, and fantastic. But it's really something you have to have a taste for, or you'll just thihnk it's "okayyyy." :]

VERY good movie...of course, we all have different tastes in movies, but to me, it was yummy.

I asked this question the other day and most people told me to watch it. I did, it was good-visually amazing, acting awesome. You gotta be ready for the musical thing though, lots of singin going on.

It would have been good if it wasnt a musical.Wait until it comes out on video

LOVED IT!!!!!

AMAZING! truthfully, i didn't expect the voices to be as good as they were. but everything was A+++! excellent. tim burton is a genius! yes: it was gory. but still in my top 5 fave movies. I just bought the soundtrack because of how much I LOVED IT!!

It's a pretty good movie for a musical of this time period. Not as bad as is heard to be. The singing isn't the best,... but it's pretty good. Sort of cheesy gory effects and stuff, but the way it flows, it's pretty good.

its BEYOND amazing! best movie ive ever seen and i saw it twice. there's not one song i didn't like and its very well written. i strongly recommend it and have fun!

if you dont like musical movies...BETTER NOT GO!
