I loved it and I thought all the actors were awesome, especially Ellen Page and Jennifer Garner (she's not gotten nearly enough accolades for this role). I hope it wins the Oscar of best original screenplay. As far is it making adoption too "easy", I disagree. It broke Juno's heart - you could see that in the scene with her and her boyfriend, where they both decided not to see the baby. But, she was smart and selfless enough to know giving the child up was best for everyone. I don't think this move put down abortion, nor did it make adoption seem easy. This character made her choice and that is what anyone in her position should be able to do.

i havent watched it yet. i have seen the trailer and it doesnt look all that..not sure why its recd so many nominations.

I loved it, thought it was brilliantly acted and great score.

it seems to be a remake of an asian movie- jenny & juno which was quite good! so cant wait to see this one

I enjoyed it. I thought the way she jumped into the adoption was a bit unrealistic..but it is only a film I guess. It was funny too. I thought the lead actress was good.

I really enjoyed the film, i thought it was very funny and had some great acting.
I don't think the film is meant to be taken seriously with the whole teenage pregnancy and adoption thing, it is supposed to be a light hearted view of it, and I personally thought it pulled it off really well.

I think it was a realistic and original screenplay. I know what you mean about the adoption thing but the film focuses more on the relationships between the characters and how they progress throughout the movie rather than all the other details. It's a good movie and a change of pace from all the other teen films that are out there.

I think Juno was a fun, fantastic, emotional film which made me think about many important issues. The actors all did a fantastic job.

Enjoyed the film but not sure why it got so many nominations. One of my favourite actresses of all time, Alison Janney (CJ in West Wing) plays the step-mother and anything with her in it is worth watching. Her response to the medic dealing with the scan is priceless. I think the film dealt with the questions of teenage pregnancy and adoption well although it seemed that Juno's decisions were made too easily. Good screenplay and production values.

I agree with you about glamorizing, in an off-beat sort of way, the adoption process ... other than the fine performances, especially Ellen Page's, the storyline itself was nothing new or original.

In fact, had it not been for Jennifer Garner being part of the cast, I'm not exactly sure I would have even seen the movie.

Ive seen it and i thought it was great. I wasnt offended by the way it made the adoption process look easy, im sure that there are some people out there who find it easy. Good cast, good script.....good film xx

I loved it.

I think that for the fact that the whole weight of the movie was put on a young actress, Ellen Page did an absolute magnificent job. She comes in as a virtual unknown (aside from films like X-3 and Hard Candy) and absolutely takes over as Juno. Without her performance, I don't see this film being nearly as good as it was. It did poke at a touchy subject for a lot of America, and showed a side of the whole adoption scenario with a good light. I think it has a right to be nominated for the Best Picture Oscar, but I don't think it will win. Even though Ellen Page gave a great performance to make her film great, Daniel Day Lewis did an even better job and made his movie a masterpiece.

Simply one of the best movies of the year 2007!

I loved it! I was 3 months pregnant when I saw it & I feel exactly the same way as she does (except I never considered abortion or adoption).

i thought it was a really good indie film and gave you the impression of where the perfect family is, but by the end your opinion changes,

its a film, adoption cant be that easy (im not that clued up on laws in different states in america) but if they went into all of that it would be missing the main point and would be a lot longer,

I think this movie had a really profound message but it affected me more than most even. I am from a family that has adopted two children (my little bro and sis) and i also am from minnesota!
The film was so realistically funny (getting drunk at Mankato?! that college really is for parties.) and really captured the easy pace of minnesota.
Her choice to give up the baby wasnt easy. But most teen girls, myself included when i became sexually active, think about what they would do if they got pregnant. So the thought of adoption im sure had crossed her mind, and also, the adoption of my little brother worked just as easily! we found our 3 days before he was born and we werent even looking to adopt, so it can be that quick and simple.
Jenifer Garner was absolutely amazing, i have a step-parent that is sterile and that absolute desperation she shows is totally how it is, and it broke my heart to see it. She literally brought me to tears with how perfectly she connected to the role.
As for Ellen Page, what can be said? She played a girl who didnt have options, could not keep it and could not abort it. so what is left? She took the character in and made the decisions as Juno, and they were beautiful.

I think this movie definately deserves the nods it had gotten, and it was refreshing to see people involved in adoption that werent crack heads or screw ups in a film!
