Just watched Saw4...?!
Question: And I am so confused. I would probably understand if I watched it again, but the disk is all messed up and screwed up the ending, so...
What the hell happened? Either I totally missed a character or something really wierd happened with the time line at the end. Can someone please elaborate?

Saw III and Saw IV were occuring at the same time. Hoffman had his own game with Rigg while Jigsaw & Amanda played with Jeff & Lynn. The beginning scene was the end of the movie. The tape in Jigsaw's stomach was specifically for Hoffman, not just any detective. Presumably the next movie will focus on a test of Hoffman, according to the tape.
Hoffman didn't shoot Jeff. Strahm did after Hoffman trapped him in the same room with a man that looked insane and had a gun.
I didn't like him being the new protege, and there's still questions about that to be answered in V & VI, which sucks for those of us that want answers but realize that means the writers probably didn't actually think the whole story through and they want another year to come up with the answers.

If you're confused about Saw 4, don't feel bad. Join the crowd. There's alot of people, that are very confused. I don't wanna say too much, cuz I don't wanna spoil it for ya...but what they did was, they answered alot of questions, at the same time, left even more unanswered questions. They did that, to set up for part 5. From my understanding, there's gonna be parts 5 and 6. But I will tell ya this. Parts 3 and 4, are both happening at the same time. That's what confuses alot of people.

the ending was they all died...its not that hard to get
except the detective (the white guy in the beginning)
in order to understand saw 4 you had to see all the saw movies. They are all connected together. I actually likes it, good thing i had a saw marathon before seeing it at the movies when it was out. Hint hint, marathon....
