1. In "Child's Play", Charles Lee Ray (Chucky) is shot at by Mike Norris, a police officer, and wounded so he hides out in a toy company called Good Guy Dolls where Chucky uses voodoo to transport his soul into one of the dolls in the warehouse. He dies by being shot at, as a doll, by Andy (the little boy who got the doll as a gift) and the police officer from the beginning and all of his doll body parts are falling apart. The doll parts continue to fight back until Andy shoots the doll in the face. This happens after they try to kill him by burning him in the fireplace, where he had managed to escape from.
2. The doll is reconstructed by an executive of the toy company to prove to people that there is nothing wrong with that line of dolls, and Chucky's soul is unintentionally resurrected. This time Chucky dies by Andy's hand as he is at the toy store and Andy shoves an air house into Chucky's mouth causing his head to explode. Not to mention, he had also poured hot molton plastic all over him.
3. He's brought back to life again by the toy company who, thinking it's been long enough (8 years) and want to remarket the dolls. He dies by having his face practically slashed off, arm is blown off by Andy's gun and the other hand is cut off with a knife, then Andy throws him into a fan which shreds him.

charles lee ray before he died said a ritual at a toy store that will replace his soul in his body to another body and the closest thing he found was a childs play doll name chucky. chucky was killed by getting burned in a fireplace and shot a bunch times.
in childs play 2 i forgot how he came back but it took play in the army camp and chucky was hacked up by a giant fan at a carnival
in childs play 3 took place at a school but i havent seen that one in a long time so i dont know
In the first movie, Charles Lee Ray (the man inside Chucky) is running from the police. After being shot, he takes cover in a toy store and uses a voodoo ritual to transfer his soul into one of the dolls. Andy (the child who gets the doll for his birthday) names the doll "Chucky". The end of the movie is a big struggle between Chucky and the family that "owns" the doll. After thinking Chucky was dead a couple of times and finding out he was still alive, a policeman finally shoots Chucky in the heart and kills him.
In the second movie, the makers of the Good Guy dolls tries to reconstruct Chucky. While doing so, they actually unintentionally resurrect the soul of Charles Lee Ray. In the end of the movie, there's yet another struggle and it ends with Andy's foster brother sticking an air hose into Chucky's head, causing the doll's head to explode.
In the third, Charles Lee Ray is yet again brought back to life in the Chucky doll by the Good Guy Dolls company. Chucky finds that Andy has gone to military school and follows him there. After yet another struggle, Andy ends up knocking Chucky into a giant fan, which dices up the doll.
