Why do they remake good movies?!

Question: why don't they remake sh*t ones instead and get it right the second time around?

Answers: why don't they remake sh*t ones instead and get it right the second time around?

great question. i have no idea, but I've wondered the same thing myself. Why remake Psycho? Or Rear Window? Or the Omen?

But, sometime the remake is worthwhile, Like The Seven Samurai and the Magnificant Seven are both interesting and I enjoy both versions of Dawn of the Dead.

And, unfortunately, sometimes the remake a movie that wasn't very good but had great potential...and they still screw it up. Namely, the Fog.

because they cant make up anymore good movies

it sells tickets.

to make more money
no ideas for movies

cause they are *** holes and can only thing about more money and because it was good the first time they know people will wanna see the new ones.

Somebody pointed this out I voted for you buddy, because they can't come up with good stories! So they take an old screen play from for instance Japanese "Yojimbo" and turn it into "for a fistfull of dollars" and then into "Last man standing" etc. By the way Yojimbo in IMDB is rated higher than both other remakes!

Now I can understand doing that for foreign films but there's absolutely no excuse for remaking a good non-foreign movie.
