What Movies are You Embarrassed to Say You Like?!

Question: Mine are:
The Wraith; it has cool cars, hot chicks and the stupidiest story ever yet I love watching it

Infra Man; Cool monsters and also hot chicks tons of fun yet I would not brag about liking it to my old grad school buddies.

Rock n Roll High School; The Ramones appear in the most ridiculous movie ever. PJ Soles looks smokin hot as she tries to begin her career as a music writer, loads of stupid fun and what a soundtrack

KISS Meets the Phantom; I love seeing KISS in their full makeup but this movie is so painfully bad that it is entertaining.

Actually, "The Wraith", "Rock 'n' Roll High School" and the KISS movie are all interesting. I think all of the ones you mention would be considered cult classics. I have a copy of only one of them: "KISS Meets the Phantom", who, if I recall, is played by Anthony Zerbe. (I think...)

I have a number of films that I enjoy that seem to end up on people's "hit lists":
Zoolander~I'll bet a lot more people like this film than ever admit it. Actually, it's the cleverest film Ben Stiller has done and helps make up for some of the other disasters, including "Meet the Fockers".

Howard the Duck~I love the stop-motion critters! The music is bright and fun, and Lea Thompson is always good, no matter what material is thrown at her. Next to the stop-motion monster, I love seeing Tim Robbins acting like a doofus. I am NOT a fan of his, and it's great seeing him in a grubby role like this. Mwhahahahaha!

Ernest Scared Stupid~Rimshot (Barkley the Jack Russell terrier) is adorable, and the story and situations are a lot of fun. It's a very good horror comedy, with Eartha Kitt in a wonderful role as the town's witchy woman. It also has its fair share of quotables.

Strange Brew~I saw this mentioned above and had to add it to my list. It's one of those films I should looko down on, yet I find it a lot of fun. I'd never seen the skits these characters were in before, so they were new to me. Also, it was kind of fun to see a warped take on "Hamlet" crop up in an offbeat comedy such as this.

Skatetown, U.S.A.~This is Patrick Swayze's film debut, and he plays a gang leader who is great with the skates! In fact, the critics, who weren't too harsh on this one, called him "Valentino on skates", and that's quite a compliment. Most people waited around till "Dirty Dancing" to become a fan, but I was one from the start. The rest of the cast isn't bad either:
Scott Baio~"Happy Days", "Joanie Loves Chachi", "Charles in Charge" and now that new reality one.
Flip Wilson~standup comic who landed a variety show that was highly popular~~"The Devil made me do it!"
Ron Palillo~Arnold Horshack of "Welcome Back, Kotter"~~ I've been trying to find backup for something I remember reading long ago; I believe that Palillo was in the cast of "Hot L Baltimore" when it was on Broadway.
Maureen McCormick~Marcia Marcia Marcia of "The Brady Bunch"
Melissa Sue Anderson~Mary Ingalls in "Little House on the Prairie"
Ruth Buzzi~most notable on "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In"
Billy Barty~a terrific character actor who seemed to work constantly throughout his long life~~One of his best roles is the Bible salesman in "Foul Play", mistaken by heroine Goldie Hawn for "The Dwarf", a hitman after her.
Murray Langston~famous for portraying The Unknown Comic, delivering standup routines while wearing a paper bag on his head~~Remember him from "The Gong Show"? How fortunate if you don't!
Way, way, way down on the list is this: Dorothy Stratten~girl at the snack bar. She is the Playboy centerfold who had just begun a career in acting when she was murdered by her estranged husband, who then committed suicide. Dorothy starred in the not-very-good "Galaxina" and was portrayed by Jamie Lee Curtis in "Death of a Centerfold" (TV movie) and by Mariel Hemingway in Bob Fosse's feature film "Star 80". In the latter, Eric Roberts, Julia's brother, stole the film with his portrayal of Stratten's ex, Paul Snider.
This film certainly deserves to be a cult classic, wouldn't you say? Why do they show "Roller Boogie" but not "Skatetown, U.S.A."?! *SIGH*

Gosh! People are listing a number of my favorites, ones that I see slammed a lot although they're a lot of silly fun: "Can't Stop the Music", "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", "Xanadu" (which I saw in the theaters), and ~ um ~ I've forgotten some of the others. You can add me to their fandom! I've watched all of these quite recently.

Titanic.

Any of the Disney films... especially The Little Mermaid.

the notebook!

psycho type movies...

Booty Call- well I'm not really all that embarrassed about it.

I'm not embarressed at all of any movies I love them all and if anyone doesn't like it tuff

Mean Girls, it just makes me laugh, I know someone like that.

Juno...... i was forced.... :/

Definitely The Notebook. I have to admit it's a good story. Plus, it has James Garner in it, for crying out loud.

Titanic, Selena, Sleeping With The Enemy, Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter Is Dead, and some Elvis Presley movies
like Jailhouse Rock.

Beaches. It's really good though.

Teen Wolf...Basketball playin' Werewolf
Power Rangers: The movie
This is Spinal Tap...quite a few funny scenes(the Guitar solo!) but i admit really elongated and boring
Captain America (1990) SO SO Bad version of cap. But i love it still.

Love Story

It's a bit corny but I love that movie.

The bodyguard.

I don't know that I'm embarrassed to say I like them but some of the cheesier movies I like are:

Mystery Men
Strange Brew

I have kind of an dry sense of humor so some movies that people think are really stupid I think are really funny

Pride and Prejudice and Johnny English

KISS meets the Phantom; it was so bad that it was so funny!

hey i love rock n roll high school too!! but most of the times im embarrassed to mention that..lol
cheers

what dreams may come

...must candidly admit, despite my reputation for being a 'frightfilmfan', I am quite partial to the sickly-sweet cavity-inducing music based movies of the late seventies and early eighties, such as "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", "The Pirate Movie", "Xanadu", "Roller Boogie", "The Apple", "Thank God It's Friday", and yes, let's not forget the very sexually pevasive "Can't Stop the Music".....

...don't tell anyone, huh???

I love the Mel Brooks film, High Anxiety and though I'm not ashamed of that fact (it's a classic piece of work by raunchy Brooks), I would never tell anyone how many times I've actually sat watching it.

Same goes for the Christmas Story. I wait all year long for that 24 hours!

Barbie movies

I am not embarrased at my taste in movies.

I Like Deep Blue Sea. I Like She Creature, I Like the Astronaut's wife, I Like Gattaca, I Like Humanoids from the deep, I Like Titanic, I Like Red Planet Ghosts, of Mars, and Total Recall. I Like Timelines, Black Knight, and The Reckoning.

I get a good hearty laugh out of Connie and Carla, Buckaroo Bonsai, Around the World in Eighty Days, Wild Wild West and Weekend at Bernies (One and two)

I am also not embarrased to say that I think Citizen Kane, The Exorcist, and Apocalypse Now all suck.
