Stanley Kubrick - why are his films special ?!
Question: I find his films intriguing. My fave of his is Full Metal Jacket. He has a way of being politically incorrect & getting away with it. He is a master of his work. It's too bad he passed away. I was really getting into his later work.

The hidden messages he hides in his movies, you seriously have to watch his moe like 100 times to get them.
GOLLY, are you asking because you have doubts? Have you seen Dr. Strangelove? GEEZ, or 2001 or the Shining? Like they were considered CLASSICS the moment they were released! how many movies can you say that about today?Total fanatic for detail, brilliant camera angles and a true understanding of what the writer had in mind.....K?
First he is a perfectionist, so every single shot done by him is just perfect. You can't find any errors on this. Then he plays a lot with film grammar, therefore creates a sub-content to every film, but in the meantime the basic story is also always worth watching. And he is great with actors, so every actor's best performance is in Kubrick's films.
Because they are different from anything else you will ever see.
