Beats me!

"Airplane" in the US becomes "Flying High" elsewhere

TV series "Spooks" becomes "MI5" in the US

My guess is that the marketing geeks in each country do a survey to find out which name will sell more popcorn.

I don't know about that specific example, but in general, there could be several reasons.

It could be political. It could just be that the marketing folk thought a particular country would respond better to a particular title, or might take offence at, or be put off by the original title. Or it could be to avoid confusion with other similar pictures. For example, one of my all-time favourite films is Dracula (1958), which was retitled Horror of Dracula in the US, to avoid confusion with the still-popular 1931 Bela Lugosi movie.

because sum countries have thicker skulls

I don't know its very weird.
If you've ever seen the movie "The Perfect Match" you'll also know that its called "Fever Pitch" [if you live in america]

Its the same with harry potter, because in some Countries its HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE...though in others its HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE

lol
