Is Blockbuster Movies through the mail all it appears?? Would you recommend it??!

Question: Are there hidden fees they don't tell you about? How long does it take to receive a new movie once you send the other one off?? Overall, would you recommend Blockbuster or not and why??

I have had an online Blockbuster account for a few months now, and I like it. The only "hidden fee" is sales tax when looking at the price they advertise.

I have the option where you can exchange a movie from the mail with a movie in the stores. That is, you can go to the store to pick out a new movie, and the video that you are turning in is the "payment" for the video. The online service will still send you the next movie on your queue. They only thing to keep in mind is that the video that you pick up from the store is subject to the store's due date (whereas movies coming in the mail have no due date).

All in all, I like my Blockbuster account.

I don't know about Blockbuster, but I would be lost without my Netflix! They ship the movies right away, you don't pay postage on sending them back, it's just a montly fee that depends on how many movies at a time you want, and you can keep them for a long long time if you want. I love Netflix! Plus you can watch some movies right on your computer.

its all about netflix. try it.

Yes I'ld recommend it. A Blockbuster employee discussed it with me briefly once and you can save money renting this way. It sounds efficient and worthwhile. You don't have to leave your house. And I think you can keep the movies for an extended amount of time also.

I hate to admit it but I will - I actually belong to both Blockbuster and Netflix! I love both of them. The service is very fast, and the fees are as stated.

I've done both Blockbuster and Netflix. They are both good. You get charged the amount that you sign up for plus a small (maybe a dollar or so) tax once a month at the same time each month. They both send out movies equally fast, so never had any problem there. Sometimes you get scratched DVD's, but that happens when you're renting from the store.

The only real difference is that with Blockbuster, you can trade in your movies at the store so you can replace them instantly whereas Netflix doesn't have that option. But with Netflix, you can watch movies instantly online, which you can't do with Blockbuster.

The only reason I changed to Netflix was b/c I moved half an hour away from the nearest Blockbuster and I have like $25 in late fees that I don't want to pay. So there you have that. Either one is pretty much equally worth it.
