Entertainment Industry, Conflict of interests.?!
Question: Would it be considered a conflict of interest (or otherwise morally wrong/objectionable) for someone from the film industry (Director, Cinematographer, Writer, etc) to also get involved in Acting... perhaps even play a part (any roll) in one of their own works?

No, I don't see a problem with it. I think it's perfectly fine and dandy unless another person would be obviously better suited for the part. Look at Orson Welles with Citizen Kane - that worked out like gravy.
It's been going on forever, so I think it's considered a fairly normal practice. Many actors nowadays are getting involved in directing, and are still acting in many of those movies that they direct.
