Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. Jayne Weiser is also considered for the role of Alice, but maybe Dakota Fanning? Mike Myers for Cheshire Cat.

Definitely Johnny for Mad Hatter...but I'd prefer Emily Browning (Violet from A Series of Unfortunate Events) for Alice. I think she'd pull it off better than Dakota Fanning.
