If you take into account the entire saga not just the movies he had 6, 7 if you count Luke (but since he was never really turned, I dont count him)

Darth Maul
Vergere
Darth Tyranus
Darth Vader
Mara Jade
Lumiya

He had four total...Luke was to be his fifth. Darth Maul was the first. Count Dooku was the second. Vader was the third. Mara Jade was the fourth. Mara Jade was a sleeper apprentice sent by Palpatine to assassinate Luke Skywalker. She was supposed to get him at Jabba's Palace but missed her opportunity. Mara later fell in love with luke and were married.

In the movies he had three:
Darth Maul
Darth Tyranus
Darth Vadar

Some other Sith Lords

Ajunta Pall was one of the first great Sith Lords. He began as a Jedi, but rebelled against their teachings and embraced the Dark Side.. The Jedi eventually drove him and his fellow rebels into hiding. Eventually he and his compatriots found shelter on the planet Korriban and began building the Sith Empire; "Sith" at that time was merely a name for the species living there, however, thanks to the arrival of "the Dark Jedi" it eventually became the name of their Order. Ajunta Pall himself was famed to have created a sword of terrible Dark Side power and it is rumoured to be within his tomb on Korriban.

Naga Sadow was a Sith Lord, who reigned 5000 years before the Clone Wars. He was the mastermind behind the great Hyperspace War against the Republic and Jedi, that attempted to expand the borders of the ancient Sith empire. Naga Sadow had pure Sith blood. and was a member of a priesthood that practiced Sith magic drawing from the Dark Side of the Force. On Yavin 4, the moon of a gas giant, he conducted experiments on his Massassi warriors causing them to mutate from red-skinned humanoids into fearsome, savage hunchbacked predators, Despite this, the Massassi slaves treated him like a god, building huge temples to honour him.

Marka Ragnos is reputed to have been one of the greatest of the ancient Sith Lords. Details of his reign over the Sith Empire are few, although historians believe his death marked the end of the high point of the ancient Sith empire. Immediately following his funeral a schism errupted between the leaders of the Sith, and further events led to a major war with the Galactic Republic. Because the schism was never healed, this proved to be the end of the Sith Empire. About a millenium after his death Marka's spirit was summoned from the grave by Sith Talismans to crown Exar Kun as the new Dark Lord and Ulic Qel-dromo as Exar Kun's apprentice

Tulak Hord was a legendary Sith lightsaber duelist as well as a Dark Lord. His tomb is located in the Valley of the Dark Lords on the planet Korriban and reportedly a holocron explaining how to acquire his duelling and Force skills was buried with him there

Freedon Nadd was a Dark Jedi who lived approximately 4,400 years before the War between the Empire and Rebel Alliance. He was also the ruler of the planet of Onderon. After his death, his tomb in the city of Iziz became a focal point of Dark Side power; this tomb was later moved to the moon of Dxun. Though dead, his spirit was not extinguished until Exar Kun revived and destroyed him later.

Exar Kun was a powerful and skilled Dark Lord of the Sith, but had difficulty deciding whether he served the Jedi or Sith: he changed between the two sides several times, alternately embracing and renouncing the Dark Side.

His gyrations entailed alternately learning from and attacking the spirit of Freedon Nadd, eventually destroying him. Kun also killed his original Jedi Master, Master Vodo Siosk-Bass. The conflict that followed was known as the Sith War. In the end, Kun's base on Yavin 4 was revealed, and a battle destroyed most of the planet and Kun's body. His spirit is still said to haunt the temples on Yavin 4.

Darth Bane is the saviour and founder of the modern Sith Order. After continuous conflict between Sith Lords which threatened to ravage the entire Order, Lord Bane restructured Sith practices, and instituted the Rule of Two - namely that there could only be two members of the Order at any one time: a Master and Apprentice. The Sith values of Cunning, Discipline and Loyalty are all directly attributable to his teachings

The Sith Master directly preceding Darth Sidious, Darth Plagueis was called "The Wise" because apparently he had gained such insight into the Force that he was able to manipulate it to create life. This exercise of power was only available to the Sith, as the Jedi considered it unnatural to attempt to tamper with the "Will of the Force" in particular when its will was that one should die. Darth Plagueis' greatest legacy, however, was his apprentice, Darth Sidious.

Darth Sidious, also known as the Emperor and Senator Palpatine, was born on the modest planet of Naboo. A skilled politician as well as very powerful Sith Lord, he was Apprentice to Darth Plagueis. In line with the traditions of the Order, Lord Sidious slaughtered Darth Plagueis and became the Master. Lord Sidious then began his ruthless campaign to establish Sith control of the Galaxy and to wipe out the Jedi. Through a series of carefullly planned political moves, as well as the cunning deployment of his Apprentices, Darth Maul, Darth Tyranus and Darth Vader, Lord Sidious established this control, thus achieving the ultimate goals of the Order. Thus in Sith Circles, he is known as Darth Sidious the Great.

Darth Tyranus was also known as Count Dooku, a respected Jedi and political idealist. He was turned to the Dark Side of the Force by Lord Sidious, who managed to latch onto Dooku's outspoken views on corruption in the Republic and use him to create a powerful Separatist movement. The fires of war which were stoked by this movement, allowed the remaining resistance to Sith rule to be destroyed.

Lord Tyranus himself was killed by the future Darth Vader, who was then known as Anakin Skywalker.

Darth Vader is the Chosen One of Jedi prophecy. Born Anakin Skywalker, it is rumoured that he was conceived through the Will of the Force. When discovered by the Jedi on the desert planet Tatooine, Skywalker was shown to be unusually strong with the Force. The Jedi freed him from slavery and brought him to Coruscant for training.

The Jedi made a number of large mistakes in his training. First, they entrusted his education to a recently graduated Padawan, Obi Wan Kenobi, rather than having him learn from a more experienced teacher such as Yoda. Second, the Jedi did not make any attempts to free Anakin's mother, who was still a slave; in the end she was to die at the hands of Tusken Raiders, the barbaric savages who lived in Tatooine's wastelands. Worse, the Jedi did not allow Anakin to rescue her when he had a direct premonition of her fate. Third, the rules of the order were applied so rigidly, in the person of Master Kenobi, that rebellion became inevitable; for example, he secretly married the Senator from Naboo, Padme Amidala.

At the same time, Lord Sidious encouraged and advised Anakin, providing a supportive influence in the face of Jedi criticism. Anakin had a second premonition, this time of Padme's death. Lord Sidious told Anakin about his former Master, Darth Plagueis, and how he was able to create life. The opportunity to learn how to use such powers, as well as the contrast between Lord Sidious' support and the Jedi's disdain meant that when a crisis came, Anakin chose to join the Sith and became Darth Vader. Lord Vader fulfilled the Jedi prophecy of bringing balance to the Force, but not in the manner they had expected - after working to eliminate the Jedi, there were precisely two left, just as there were only two Sith, a form of balance that the Jedi had never thought would occur.

One of the Jedi survivors, Obi Wan Kenobi, duelled with Lord Vader on the planet Mustafar shortly after his embrace of the Sith Order, and Vader was badly injured in the planet's lava pits. He was forced to wear an artificial life support system and what little remained of his original body was supported by cybernetic limbs. Still, his tall, black suited, menacing form became a symbol of Sith and Imperial power throughout the Galaxy.
