Marie Antoinette movie: liked it?!

Question: Has anyone of you ever seen "Marie Antoinette"?

I did it many times, and I think I'm getting obsessed with it! xD

I just love the costumes, the star of the movie - Kirsten Dunst -, everything!

Did you like it?

I liked it. I loved the costumes and the wigs and the scene where Marie was picking clothes and shoes and they were serving all these treats and on the backround the song "I Want Candy" was playing. The ending was a bit sad though.

i like it yeah, but it wouldn't be one of my favourites
i've only seen it once:D
i love thecostumes and hair too, but i don't think there is a very good story there really
just my opinion though
:]

I liked it but it was a little slow. If you like Sofia Coppolla and Kirsten Dunst check out the Virgin Suicides, its really good.

I've watched it a couple times...

I like the costumes and the "production" aspect, but the script could have used some work (not the actors - they did well).

The ending was dull.

I don't really know how I feel about it. The costumes and hair are fun but Kirsten Dunst as an actress to me is... blah. The story is a great one though. I've read it in history and studied King Louis XVI, so it was interesting to see her side of the story.

I thought the movie looked great visually but there was absolutely no plot line. The movie had no climax. I was surprised at how it ended, I thought it might have shown how she was beheaded.

I like "Marie Antoinette" a lot. My kids bought me the DVD for Christmas so I can watch it a million more times. I like to watch the French version with the English subtitles. They also bought me the book that the movie is based on-"Marie Antoinette-The Journey" by Antonia Fraser. Antonia Fraser is one of my favorite authors and also has written excellent books about the wives of Henry VII and Mary Queen of Scots. I can only hope Sofia Coppola buys the movie rights to those books too.

The Norma Shearer version is still the best

didn't see it

I thought it was a very pretty movie - the costumes and sets were all gorgeous - but it had no substance. Very boring movie.
