Netflix movies are dark, why?!
Question: I'm a member of Net flix and all the movies I get are dark, dark and dark! I don' t have one of those contrast buttons in the dvd player so I am having to watch them anyway. What's causing this? Is it because they are copies of originals? I don't know who to complain to at Netflix. It's even worse when it's a dark movie to begin with! Thanks in advance

its not the dvd's, think about it i could see you getting a bad disc, but every time...come one, grab your wallet and go replace your 18 inch tv, or buy a new dvd player, or an even simplier solution is to buy a cheap universal remote then you can change the contrast, if your tv is not dark for regular tv, then it is the dvd player, not the discs
I've never had a problem with that. Then again, I rent a lot of horror movies, so they're kind of expected to be dark.
I use blockbuster.com and I've never had that problem. You should cancel your subscribtion and go to blockbuster.com
Try to find the contrast button on the TV. It might be in some menu if its a newer TV. Maybe that would help. I don't think DVD players usually have a contrast control.
That's not a problem with the DVDs, that's a problem with your television. Change the brightness on your TV (not DVD player) and it'll be fine.
Like everyone else says....its your tv not the DVDs. I have no problems with the discs i receive.
