What do you think about the movie Edward Scissorhands?!
Question: Edward Scissorhands is an amazing film! Lately Tim Burton has gotten a bad reputation for doing things just to be different, like Sweeney Todd (not that great) and Corpse Bride (pales in comparison to his Nightmare Before Christmas). Edward Scissorhands was no stunt to be unique though, it really was so original.
Johnny Depp is amazing in that film with his sad eyes, he is the only character who is not melodramatic, and that is what makes him to beautiful and real. Then you have Winona Ryder as the contrast who is extremely artificial and that makes her ugly and cliche. the larger social commentary within the film is what is so brilliant.
From the neat little neighborhood with color houes all in a row, all the men leaving for work at the same time... to the way the people in the city only embrace Edward when they want something from him, and then throw him out... it all just falls into place and when you think about the world today, the movie really doesnt seem that fanatasical.

It was different. I saw it a long time ago. Can't remember it much. Still I am not the best to ask because I am not that impressed by that sort of film really.
Good movie, strange of course, because it was Tim Burton and Johnny Depp, but is was a good movie. It shows that people have worth, and can be good, in spite of what they look like.

Main theme of course is loneliness. Even if Edward is popular at one moment people tend to forget fast and abandon you after one mishap.

Strange, sad movie. I saw it years ago. I liked it but it was something I never watched again.
I loved it when it when it first came out and still love it today.The fantasy world of cookie cutter houses and loud vibrant colors every where.Not to mention the return of Anthony Michael Hall as Winona Ryder's boyfriend,looking completely different than he did than when he starred in all the John Hughes film as the "nerd"
All in all,the movie has a good message.That just because you look or act different doesn't mean you're better than anybody else.
