I'm not sure if I have this right, as I don't think he was knighted at the end, but I'll try anyway. Sean Connery. He played Robin Hood in Robin and Marian, and as King Richard in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, knighted Robin Hood, played by Kevin Costner.

Sean Connery did play Robin Hood in "Robin and Marian" (1976) and then played King Richard in "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" (1991).
I don't remember Robin being knighted but I recall that he and Marian's wedding is interrupted by the return of King Richard who blesses the marriage and wishes them well. Hmmm?
