Did NBC choose the correct car for "KITT," Knight Rider ?!

Question: No! And I'm a 2K5 Mustang owner. I feel ashamed now!

It should have been a new Camaro, at least keep it in the GM family.

No.

Why is it american car? Horrible mileage, bad finish, and they suck major c0ck & ballz. They should have used something like a Lamborghini or some other foreign car.

A Ford Mustang!?!.......why not just use a beetle, or a little golf cart. If these are the same guys that worked on the Team Knight Rider Series then you know that this is gonna be crap-tastic show. I think that they should leave Knight Rider in the history books cause they'll never be able to reproduce it properly.

The mustang was the wrong choice. What kind of weed were these people on? Oh wait...let me guess...it was green, rectangular, had funny pictures of old men on it, and was supplied in copious quantities from the Ford Motor Co. What a shame. I was really looking forward to the show, but I don't know if I can watch a black brick.

I always new Ford designers didn't have any kind of creativity but that was brought to life when the new series of Mustangs was released. In this day and age of high-tech, they (Ford) go back to this?

They need to drop the KITT name and call it BRICK. They lost the original concept of lean, sleek, smart, stealthy and replaced it with a brick.

They may as well replace Hasselhoff with a steroid injected pro-wrestler. My knee-jerk reaction is to say that the designer(s) should be fired, but according to the article I read they admitted it was "because of the Ford connection", and apparently the designer was specifically ordered to use this model car and "Maintaining as much of [this model] as possible was important".

Whoever handed down the order to shoehorn this model car in as KITT needs to be fired. But no... he probably got a big cash bonus for bringing in big bucks from Ford Marketing to turn this into a MOVIE-LENGTH-COMMERCIAL for the Next New Product. This goes beyond even the most grotesque level of product placement. This is one big two hour hypefomercial.

A Ford Mustang?! What where they thinking? KITT was 'muscle' but didn't show it. The new KITT shows muscle but isn't (They should have used a Nissan Skyline or some other pacific muscle instead, cos those -can- take corners).

This makes me feel Knight Rider was redone by the people who did the models for Team America World Police. Thanks for the total obliteration of another fond childhood memory. (The 1st was the Dukes of Hazard movie with that john'ee knoxfart) What's up with all the freakin' remakes anyway?

Did the tv-show guru's run out of cool ideas? Is it really that time to recycle old tv shows (destroying childhood memories on the way?) If things go on like this we can expect the A-team starring Zac Effron as Hannibal.

Good God a Mustang?? Remember the 90's TV movie Return to Knight industries 2000? Oh god the horror!
That Knight Rider didn't last long .. thank god it didn't have spawn any offspring.

But wait, then we go to Viper which I think did a good job of killing any remakes of that.

Oh, and who can forget Team Knight Rider sucking on the legacy of Michael Knight (they mentioned his name A LOT in that failed series) am I forgetting anything ??

The original was a hit for a reason. Anything else is a cheap imitation, so enough with raping the classics, and heres a quarter -- go buy some talent.

GOOD GOD a MUSTANG??
