Are there certain movies for which they are the ONLY movie within that genre tha!
Question: For example, I am NOT a fan of westerns in the slightest, but I think that 'The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly' is one of the best movies EVER made, regardless of genre.

I despise "chick flicks* but I really enjoyed Return to Me...if just for the sheer sweetness of it.
The Back to the Future series are 3 of my favorite movies of all time..............
I'm not really a sci-fi freak though.
And ET is my all time favorite movie..........again........sci-fi category. So I can't seem to figure out why that works the way it does
I don't really like those period pieces set in England (the "Masterpiece Theater" type things) but I thought "The Age of Innocence" was excellent.
I'm also not a fan of Westerns, but I did love "The Quick and the Dead" with Sharon Stone, and Gene Hackman.

I can't narrow anything down to just one; not a fan of horror movies but there are a few that I've thought were good.
I enjoy The Sound of Music. In fact, it's my favorite movie. However, I am not a fan of musicals in general.
Saw. I don't dig horror films but it was to well crafted not to have in my DVD collection. As for the 20 sequels.....
