Question: Films are fictions but charecters shown in the film should be like real life people. So, if some charecter is shown smoking, this is to keep charecters almost like real life of people. yes I think he should stop smoking on screen. because most watched celebrity. and youth icon. youngsters follows what is idol does. he should smoke in private.

what do you mean?...i've never seen him smoke in any of his films!...atleast i don't remember any...well i remember some star telling in an interview that they would not smoke in films even if they do in real life because it would set a wrong example for the younger generation...i don't remember whether it was salman or shahrukh saying this...but whoever told it, i completely agree with them and i think that smoking SHOULD be banned not only from films but also in real life...its dangerous dude!...why're you risking your life just because smoking looks cool!?...it doesn't!...and i hate smokers!!!...don't try to impress the girls by smoking...they're not impressed, they think you're a jerk because you don't know the grave situation you're hauling yourself into!...sorry this is not specifically for the asker...its for all the smokers who read this...
