obi wan was the greatest jedi as he beat anakin at the end of ep 3. He was holding his own aswell in ep 4 until he switched off his lightsabre. He also beat Darth Maul and helped to train Luke Skywalker. Luke was the chosen one Lucas has confirmed this.

Both Luke and Ana-kin were the chosen one, Luke converted his father back to the good side, and Ana-kin killed Darth Sidious, As Yoda said himself, the Dark side was hard to see. So they could not see that there was to be TWO chosen ones because Ana-kin joined the dark side.The prophecy didn't say that Either would be the greatest Jedi. if you watch the series in straight order you'll figure it out. I'd say Obi-wan ken-obi was the greatest Jedi because he defeated Ana-kin once, (the second fight they had, he let himself be killed.) and he killed Darth Maul.

Yoda is the greatest jedi of all time. The prophecy i think speaks about a complete blood line which would include Anakin, Luke and Leia

Anakin was indeed the chosen one for he did indeed destroy the Sith. HOW the chosen one would do do was probably never specified in the Jedi prophecy.
