Who liked the film The Green Mile?.... if not why not.... you decide!?!

Question: I love it. It saddens me that people (including myself) thought Coffey "like the drink but spelled different" (how sad and sweet) had killed those little girls. I felt ashamed of that when I found out it wasn't him at all. And I cried like a baby when they finally executed him and he accepted it so willingly. He was trying to do good but was not accepted for what he was, a healer and a gift from God. The quote (not exact or complete, don't have the book in front of me now) I remember that still makes me cry is "He used their love for each other."

Great Movie! I liked Mr. Jangles!

so so was very long getting going

i did enjoy the film but as with most stephen king films the book is even better!

Best film for years

I love that movie and have watched it several times, very sad in the end though.

Brilliant.

A fantastic movie about the struggle between good and evil... I mean think about it, it's not only bad guy good guy it's all about inner conflict within both John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan) and Paul Edgecom (Tom Hanks), it's a powerfull struggle as both of them come to terms with the thin line that lays between good and evil.

The Green Mile has to be one of Stephen King's best movies to date as far as I'm concerned. Written in a Serial Novel and then produced into a movie. It was one of the only Novel's made into a movie that the Directors stuck almost completely to the book.

The Serial Novel:
* Volume 1: Two Dead Girls (released March 28, 1996)
* Volume 2: The Mouse on the Mile (released April 25, 1996)
* Volume 3: Coffey's Hands (released May 30, 1996)
* Volume 4: The Bad Death of Eduard Delacroix (released June 27, 1996)
* Volume 5: Night Journey (released July 25, 1996)
* Volume 6: Coffey on the Mile (released August 29, 1996)

Later released in ONE VOLUME:

The Movie:

Released December 10, 1999 and starring Tom Hanks.

I felt this was one of Tom Hanks best performances and of course who doesn't LOVE MR. JANGLES?

i thought it was brill.,.made me cry.. i loved it

I love it..I think it's one of the best movies ever..

Aw, l Loved that film,l have seen it 6 times.lol.
Love.Jo.xx

Such a classic film. It is 3 hours film however, I find it goes very quickly.
Tom Hanks won an award for this film. Really good role he played. This was the first film I ever bought on DVD. I like the extras as you learn more about Stephen King and his condition.

LOVED it! Devastating touching funny and sweet!

I preferred the book. I am a huge Stephen King fan.
I think the film was well made, got the gist of the story.
I have watched it with people who don't like Mr.King and they have enjoyed it and were surprised when they knew who wrote the book.

i enjoyed the film.

a great film, but I can't watch the part where the french prisoner was executed, Percy didn't wet the sponge and his death was absolutely disgustingly horrific.

It sone of my favourite films. Ive seen it loads of times, but it never fails to get me crying.

I rate it highly it was very touching and freaky! It blew me away, in fact. It ripped your heart out and left you depressed but that was what made it a work of Art. I hate violence but it only hinted the nasty stuff and didn't detract from the interesting storyline. Thought provoking and edgy.

Fantasitic, one of the only films that make me cry

It made me sad......

I don't like to be sad......

:`(

awsome film
