Question: If you haven't saw this movie it is a must see, it just blew me away, I was brought to tears several times throughout the movie. It is based on a true story about a young girl and her sister whose parents die in a car crash, so she is sent to live with her abusive aunt Ruth. I wont spoil any more of the movie. actually, the date you have is incorrect.. the movie was from 2007.. although the book was from '89..
It was a well done movie... very little gore, very little on screen violence, but what you DON'T see still comes through loud and clear..
I haven't seen the movie yet.....but I read the novel that the movie is based on a few years ago.
The book is very graphic and I hear the movie is pretty faithful to the book.
Can't wait to see it.
